Abstract: This is a winter story about a man whose wife consorted with a bear.
Description: The original manuscript of this story is in the Truman Michelson Collection of the Smithsonian Institution's National Anthropological Archives. It was written by Alfred Kiyana sometime between 1911 and 1918. The version given here was transcribed, phonemicized, otherwise edited, and translated by Ives Goddard.
